Terms of Service
Last updated: May 26, 2026 · Version 1.0
These terms govern your use of AdaptEd. By creating an account or letting your child use the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
1. Who can use AdaptEd
Only a parent or legal guardian of a minor child may create an AdaptEd account. You must be at least 18 years old. Children may use AdaptEd only through an account a parent has created for them and only after the parent has consented to our collection of the child's information (see the Privacy Policy).
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use AdaptEd for any unlawful purpose
- Upload other people's copyrighted material as homework you claim is your own
- Try to break, probe, or reverse-engineer the service
- Abuse the rate limits or attempt to deny service to other families
- Impersonate another person or family
- Use the AI-generated content to mislead, harass, or harm others
3. Your content
You retain ownership of anything you or your child uploads (homework photos, written answers, feedback comments). You grant AdaptEd a limited license to store, process, and use that content solely to provide the service to your family. We do not use your content to train AI models. We do not sell your content.
AdaptEd-generated lesson scripts, reteach videos, voice narration, and embeddings remain AdaptEd's property. You receive a license to use them for personal, non-commercial educational purposes for the duration of your account.
4. Accuracy of AI content
AdaptEd uses large language models and other generative AI to produce lessons, questions, and explanations. Generative AI can produce incorrect or misleading content. We work hard to verify quality, but we do not guarantee that every piece of AI-generated content is accurate. Treat AdaptEd as a tutor that helps your child learn, not as the definitive source on any subject. If you spot an error, please report it via the in-app feedback button.
5. Pilot pricing
During the pilot, AdaptEd is provided at no charge to selected families. We reserve the right to introduce paid subscriptions in the future; if we do, we will notify you in advance and require explicit consent before charging any payment method.
6. Account termination
You may delete your account or any individual child at any time from the dashboard, or by emailing Diego@learnadapted.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when feasible.
7. Disclaimers
AdaptEd is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the AI content will produce specific learning outcomes.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adapted Education and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of AdaptEd. Our total liability for any claim relating to AdaptEd is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Adapted Education harmless from any claim arising out of your or your child's use of the service in violation of these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
11. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. If a change is material we will notify you by email. Continued use of the service after the change means you accept the revised terms.
